Yesterday morning I'm standing over your shelf wondering 'what part of you can I take with me to clinic today', you know...for love. So I slip Saint Philomena and a pray stone into my pocket, pin your angel to my shirt and shove one of your pennies in my shoe. Then, my phone vibrates. I'm thinking "Jarrod or Mara are texting me, checking in cuz they're meeting us at the hospital." But when I check my phone...nothing. And then I notice the clock 8:18, it was YOU. Your way of letting me know 'every little thing is gonna be ok and you're with me'.Of course I cried, but Thanks Mom! Yesterday was rough, they REALLY need to find a better way with the depressing greetings. As soon as we stepped off the elevator the demeanor was hopeless. How can all of them give up but yet expect all of us....and most importantly TAYLOR to remain strong?? Anyhow, he showed us the scan and her tumor on the cerebellum is back, A LOT back and she has a 2nd new tumor in her brainstem. Hate how they describe tumors with objects, usually it's fruit, but yesterday it was a boot. Dr Foody looked at her scan last Friday and basically washed his hands to it. Dr C had the weekend to really think things over, which we all needed and she'll be on Sirolimus/Everolimus along with 3 other chemo drugs. It's a type of immunotherapy/a Tmor drug which the hope is to 1. starve the tumor and 2. confuse it and allow the chemo drugs to start working again. Once you've been on chemo for so long the tumor stops responding, which I believe is happening with Taylor. Anyhow, he's also checking with the radiation team and after the next MRI in 2 months the plan/hope is to blast the $&*%$ tumors with radiation. One thing she's never had before. Thank God I saved this option for a later date, cuz once you have it you can't do it again! Overall Mom, she's HAPPY and I mean giggly, smiley, awesomely happy! Dr C came in the room and started talking and the first thing she did was turn her music up full blast. She wanted nothing to do with what he was saying. Last night we went for a walk, my mind wanders big time when I walk...sometimes good, sometimes not so good. But Bryson wasn't about to let that happen. The whole 3 miles he kept putting his arm around me "I love you Mom". I love my kids, what HUGE hearts they have! Well lots of work to catch up on here, so I'll chat more later. I'll be by the cemetery this week too. Weather is REALLY perking up! Oh and baseball season is underway...Go CUBS Go Tigers! (((((((HUGS)))))) ******KISSES*******
